Experience in Software Engineering, Product Management, and Product Design
A Little About Me
My Background
As a soon to be graduate of the University of California, Berkeley I have discovered a deep love for exploring the intersection of computer science, product management, and human-centered design. My first introduction to coding was a Summer Immersion Program, which I participated in through Girls Who Code at Square. Since then, I have interned at TaskRabbit in product management and am a three-time returning Software Engineering intern at Salesforce. I have developed a passion for leadership and empowering women to reach their full potential in technology after navigating my own experiences in the technology industry. I dedicate myself self wholeheartedly to all new endeavors and am both results-driven and ambitious. I am always looking to gain as much real-world experience as possible, so please feel free to reach out!

My Projects
What I’ve Done

Elevate Prototype
Elevate is a female-centered online mobile platform where women can leverage each other's success in the technology industry to provide support and advice to one another. The goal of the platform is to movitate and inspire women in technology to reach their full potential.

VolnuGo
VolunGo is an on-demand volunteering platform that enables busy working individuals and students to find on-demand volunteer opportunities in their communities. Through this platform, individuals can tailor their volunteering experiences to their interests and improve the world around them.

SLC Tutoring Application
Worked with a team to create an app that matches current students with a tutor for the UC Berkeley Student Learning Center (SLC) Writing Program based on time availability. As a team, we identified the problem to be solved with our customer, designed the app architecture and UX, and determined which functionality to implement while testing and deploying frequently.

RepresentMe! Prototype
For this project, I created a mobile Android application that allows individuals to look up local representatives in their area and learn basic information about them and their work.

Product Decks
During my experience at UC Berkeley, I have created several product decks for the projects I have worked on that are linked above.
My Skills
What I Do
Product Management
Full-Stack Software Engineering Development

Both in industry, and a graduate level Product Management class at UC Berkeley I have had experience developing features through the ideation, prototype, and deliverable phase. I have conducted customer research to help iterate on product ideas and have learned how to best leverage the product life-cycle with an emphasis on product prioritzation.
With a variety of experience from the DB to the UI level, I have worked on several industry-level projects that focused on customer-driven products.
Human-Centered Design
Leadership

I have honed my skills in Human-Centered and UX Design after receiving a certificate in Centered Design from UC Berkeley. After building several prototypes, designing the UI of products, conducting user research and learning the basics of web design, I have learned how to look at the world with a keen eye on design.
The past two years, I founded and organized a CS61A mentorship program for female students in the introductory computer science course at UC Berkeley by gathering professionals in the technology industry to help mentor a cohort of female students.

STEMinism: Evaluating the Attitudes of Middle-School Girls Towards their STEM Abilities in an All-Female Environment
May 2019
Abstract: This thesis attempts to better understand the attitudes and motivations that drive middle-school
girls to enter Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). By both examining
the mindsets of middle-school girls as they age and measuring what factors encourage them to
enter STEM, this thesis attempts to unearth the key factors necessary to encourage young women
to enter STEM in hopes of tackling the lack of gender diversity that currently persists in STEM
fields. Analyzing middle-school children is especially important because many of the opinions
that individuals develop about themselves and society are solidified during these formative years.
Using original data collected from The Hamlin School, a K-8 all girls’ school in San Francisco, I
examine the responses of eighty-nine middle-school girls in response to a survey they completed
regarding their attitudes towards their abilities in STEM. This is the first paper to make use of
this data set and serves as a motivator to understand why fewer women choose to study STEM
fields and pursue STEM-related professions. The results gathered suggest that proper role
models, specialized and early intervention to help raise female self confidence in STEM are
necessary because of the impact societal beliefs have on such girls over time. Moreover, one of
the novel findings of this thesis is that there are factors beyond one’s environment contributing to
the lack of females in STEM as this thesis eliminates the role of having boys in the classroom as
a factor in diminishing female confidence as many other studies suggest.
